Swimming and Soccer...our weekly routine!

The pool is proving to be great family/friend time. Lucky for us the weather continues to be warm allowing us plenty of time in our new pool. The kids (and parents) love having people over to enjoy the pool. Jake and Alyssa are turning into quite the little fish! And thank goodness for the pool this weekend, I'm solo while the hubby is off enjoying a football weekend in Maryland with my sister, brother-in-law and friends.  How is that even fair?!?!

Lava Girls played another tough team. They tied 4-4. Competition is proving to be quite tough this year. The girls are really having to work for their goals. Alyssa had two beautiful goals and played her little heart out! We are so proud of you baby!

Jakey is Alyssa's biggest fan! He's always clapping and yelling,"go sissy". He just wants to know why these games always interfere with his naps!

Soccer and Reunion

Another weekend, another soccer game! Lava Girls didn't fare as well this weekend, but we'll get'em next time! Alyssa played tough and showed great sportsmanship! Although, as angry as she is that they lost, the team next weekend better watch out! Go #5! (On a side note, Jakey finally had a successful game without hitting or pushing the other siblings! What a great accomplishment!)

Take a good look at the freshly cut grass! Alyssa's wonderful daddy went out the night before the game to cut the grass himself to ensure the girls had a safe field to play on. What a great hubby I have!




One of Alyssa's former ECC kindergarten classmates had a party and most of the kids reunited to celebrate his birthday. It was so great to see all the kids and parents. Alyssa's class was so close and the kids were truly happy to see each other! Another great weekend!

It's about time!

I'm finally going to join the millions of others who blog! What better way to document and share the goings on of the Serrano family. I hope to post weekly, but for those of you who know me well, we'll see how it goes!

And we are off....

This past weekend we celebrated my baby boy's 2nd birthday! I can hardly believe he is 2! We celebrated with a low-key, mellow pool party because as Alyssa says, "Jake doesn't have any friends." Thanks to our friends and family who helped us celebrate. Happy birthday to my sweet baby boy!

This weekend was also the beginning of soccer season. Go Lava Girls! Lava Girls won 4-2! Congrats to my baby girl for her 3 amazing goals! And yes, I do yell, "go baby" on the field. I'm sure it will scar her for life. :) For those of you who have not witnessed Alyssa on the field, it truly is a joy to watch. (I promise I'll keep the bragging to a minimum, but she truly deserves kudos for her soccer skills)
